    The Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) area of the School of Business at George Mason University has a Term Faculty appointment (non-tenure track) open for a qualified individual to teach Business Analytics courses starting August 2019. This is a full-time position with benefits. <g class="gr_ gr_50 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="50" data-gr-id="50">Rank</g> assignment is contingent on level and type of experience and education. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position does not support work visa sponsorship.

    The standard teaching load for this position is 24 credits per year (4:4). A lower load may be possible if the candidate's qualifications meet relevant criteria in the school's workload policy. Summer teaching for additional compensation may be available upon successful renewal of term contract. Additional responsibilities include service to the ISOM Area, the School of Business, the University and the profession, such as student mentoring, committees, and interfacing with students and the business community.

    The position involves teaching undergraduate courses in Business Analytics in the School of Business. The School of Business offers a number of business analytics courses, which cover the full spectrum of activities associated with data-driven decision-making, including data collection, data sources, data quality, statistical data analysis, basic optimization, data mining, and presentation and interpretation of results with special attention on their business applications and uses. The ideal candidate will have a background and intellectual inclination consistent with the offered classes.     ISOM Area:
    The ISOM area consists of 12 OM and IS tenure-track faculty <g class="gr_ gr_49 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="49" data-gr-id="49">members,</g> and nine-term faculty members. They have published their research in top-tier business journals, and have won several <g class="gr_ gr_48 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="48" data-gr-id="48">college</g>- and university-level teaching awards. They also serve in editorial roles across leading academic journals in their fields.
