Nominations for the 2021 INFORMS Combined Colloquia are new being accepted!  This special, VIRTUAL pre-conference seminar is perfect for the PhD student contemplating a career in practice or academia, the new faculty member just starting out, or the academic who wants to improve their connection with students in the classroom.

Visit the Combined Colloquia page for more information and to start the nomination process!

The 2021 INFORMS Combined Colloquia will take place virtually on October 23rd. Choose from one of these three outstanding colloquia designed to advance your career:

    • Doctoral Student Colloquium (DSC): Recently reorganized to better help rising PhD students in their second or third year to make the critical decision whether to pursue an academic or practice career.
    • New Faculty Colloquium (NFC): An excellent introduction to the challenges of a career in academia for junior faculty.
    • Teaching Effectiveness Colloquium (TEC): Provides great guidance for those who want the best methods of connecting in the classroom and teaching analytics, operations research, and management science to students at all levels.
Nominations are being accepted through September 10th. Once again for 2021, fees for the colloquia are kept low to encourage participation at these important professional development events.  Students participants pay only $55, while non-student pay $125.  Participation in a colloquium requires registration for the 2021 Annual Meeting. There is special funding available to students wishing to attend the Doctoral Student Colloquia, which can requested during the nomination process.  If you have any questions, please contact INFORMS Combined Colloquia liaison, Bill Griffin (bgriffin@informs.org) or Combined Committee Chair Dr. Halit Uster (uster@lyle.smu.edu).

We look forward to hosting you at the 2021 INFORMS Combined Colloquia!
