*** Workshop Topics and Motivation ****

Applications are being solicited for the Data Science Challenges in Management and Decision Sciences. This workshop, hosted by HBS-IMS New Researchers Group, will be held April 9-10, 2020 on the Harvard Business School campus

The workshop is geared toward junior faculty members in the data sciences, management, and decision sciences communities. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for sharing cross-disciplinary research and to introduce a broad community of junior scholars to cutting-edge methods and substantive areas. We aim to open up common ground for future discussions and ultimately to spur collaborations between researchers who are using, or wish to use, data science in their research. In addition to short presentations from junior faculty, the workshop will feature panels of senior researchers (confirmed list below) focused on publishing in multiple outlets and collaboration across disciplines.

    *** Submission ****

We invite Assistant Professors across statistics, data science, operations research, strategy, management, information systems, and marketing science to apply. As part of your application to participate, please provide a current CV, a title, and an abstract on a topic that you would present as part of a lighting presentation. Working papers and open problems are encouraged. Those invited to participate will have travel and accommodations paid for.
The deadline for submitting the application is February 6th. Notifications about acceptance will be made by February 10th. Please submit applications by email to dscmds@hbs.edu
