INFORMS Annual Meeting 2019 Conference attendees:

Would you like to help the next generation of INFORMS professionals?

As background, every year at the INFORMS Annual Conference the Job Placement/Career Center Committee organizes two job search panel that allow some of our attendees to get advice from academic and industry professionals. We're in the process of selecting panelists for two sessions – an Industry Job Search Panel (MB92, Monday 10/21 11am) and an Academic Job Search Panel (MC92, Monday 10/21 1:30pm) in Seattle next month.

For the Industry panel, we are looking for volunteers from mature analytics companies to discuss trends in the profession and how to make the most of your talents. For the Academic panel, we are looking for volunteers who have either recently completed their academic job search or served on search committees.

Would you like to serve on either of these panels? If you're interested in volunteering, please send an email to whearnes@cardlytics.com with the following:

    • name
    • email address
    • phone number
    • brief bio

so that we can select a panel with a wide variety of experiences and perspectives for the audience.

    Important info for prospective volunteers:

    • When: Please make sure you do not have a conflict with the respective session.
      • Industry Job Search panel: Session MB92 on Monday 10/21 at 11:00am
      • Academic Job Search panel: Session MC92 on Monday 10/21 at 1:30pm
    • Panelists: Three to five selected conference attendees based on their variety of experiences.
    • Audience: Conference attendees who are interested in learning more about the job search process.
    • Preparation: Virtually none since we're going to be asking questions that are based on your experiences and opinions. If you'd like to create some slides, we should be able to show them, but they are not necessary.

We're looking forward to hearing from you and seeing everyone in Seattle!
