    The Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering faculty at Kansas State University is looking for a tenure/tenure-track faculty member with expertise in engineering analytics, cyber-physical systems, or other related fields.  The hired candidate is expected to develop a strong extramurally-funded research program, publish, and effectively teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses. The position will begin August 2019.  Rank, tenure, and salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and accomplishments.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in industrial engineering or other closely related fields.

    The IMSE department employs 14 faculty members and enrolls approximately 340 undergraduate and graduate students. The department offers a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in industrial engineering, M.S. in operations research, and a master of engineering management.  Faculty and students enjoy a collegial environment that supports a tradition of excellence in education and research. Interdisciplinary and collaborative research is valued at Kansas State University.

    The Kansas State College of Engineering is the largest and most comprehensive engineering college in Kansas, with over 4300 undergraduate and graduate students.  The college is executing a plan to add 35 new faculty positions over a five-year time period.
