Dear all,
The ACM Conference on Economics and Computation is excited to announce a special program to provide travel grants for citizens of low and middle income nations. The goal of the program is to lower financial barriers for citizens of such nations so that they can become regular attendees of the conference.
You are eligible to apply for a travel grant to attend EC '19 if you work in the area of economics and computation and currently reside in a low or middle income nation (as specified by the
World Bank). In exceptional circumstances, we will also consider applications from those who are citizens of such nations but currently reside elsewhere.
Applicants will be selected according to their their past and current engagement in economics and computation research, their technical expertise, their need for assistance, their demonstrated effort to attain other sources of funding, and the degree to which their country is currently under-represented by the EC community.
To apply, please fill out the following survey by April 25th, 5:00 PM EST. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after this deadline, but priority will be given to those who submit completed applications by April 25th.
If you have any thoughts or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the organizers.
Sincerely,
Rediet Abebe & Eric Sodomka
