Candidates with a proven successful research track may also apply at the Associate Professor level.

The PUC School of Management is among the top 100 in the world (QS rankings - 2019), and it has been consistently ranked first among all Business and Management schools in Latin America. We have 2,000 undergraduates, 400 graduate students, and ~35 full-time faculty members. Most faculty members in our group hold Ph.Ds from top universities. Journals in which our faculty have published in the past five years include Management Science, Journal of Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, Strategic Management Journal, Quantitative Marketing & Economics, and the Journal of Economic Theory, among others.
(See our website for an updated list of publications, and http://escueladeadministracion.uc.cl/escuela/business-economics-and-finance for our Business Economics/Finance/Management Science research faculty roster and a list of select research publications).

The School is strongly committed to fostering a high-quality research environment. Research for junior faculty is supported through start-up grants, reduced teaching and administrative load, and numerous opportunities to apply for internal and external grants. We offer an internationally competitive compensation package. The teaching load for our research-oriented faculty is two-to-three courses per year, either at the undergraduate or MBA level. Knowledge of Spanish is NOT required.

Applications will be considered on a continuing basis but candidates are encouraged to apply by October 2nd, 2019. Candidates planning on submitting a later application should contact us (at our personal emails below). Application packages should consist of a curriculum vitae, cover letter, research statement, one or two working papers or publications, and the name of three recommenders familiar with the candidate's experience as a researcher and scholar. Please submit all documents in an e-mail to ms-search@facea.uc.cl. Candidates should also arrange for the recommendation letters to be submitted directly by their recommenders to the same e-mail by the same deadline. Candidates attending INFORMS should include in their application materials details on their session (code/title, location, time/date).

Follow-up interviews with selected applicants will be conducted at the INFORMS Annual Conference, in Seattle, WA (October 20-23), but video-conference interviews can be arranged for candidates not attending INFORMS.
