The Management Science Department at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for an open rank non-tenure track clinical faculty position with an emphasis on business analytics. In addition to having the primary responsibility of teaching multiple analytics-oriented courses each year, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will also assume the secondary role of Managing Director for the new Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. The new MSBA program is a STEM-designated 30-credit hour program to be completed in one year. Under the direction of the Faculty Director for the MSBA, the Managing Director will oversee MSBA day-to-day operations, help to develop strategies for successful marketing of the program, student recruitment and placement, and serve as a bridge between the academic program and industry.

An ideal candidate would demonstrate a passion and competence for teaching analytical topics, including statistics and process simulation, using MS Excel, SQL, R, MS PowerBI or other analytical software. Previous experience in higher education or comparable consulting/professional experience in business analytics, involving project management responsibilities, is desired. A Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related (analytics-oriented) field is required but Ph.D. is preferred. To effectively execute the responsibilities of the MSBA Managing Director role, an ideal candidate would also have significant experience in the business analytics field. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also desired.

Salary and compensation are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and achievements. This position is designed to offer opportunities for long-term employment with the university, with renewable contracts and opportunities for promotion in accordance with established policies for non-tenure track faculty. Hiring is subject to availability of funds.
