INFORMS Business Analytics 2019 Conference attendees:

As background, every year at the INFORMS Business Analytics Conference we organize a breakfast panel that allows some of our attendees to get advice on what it is like to have a career in industry

We're in the process of selecting panelists for this event in Austin next month. We are looking for volunteers from mature analytics companies to discuss trends in the profession and how to make the most of your talents. In the past we have had panelists from companies such as FICO, Equifax, The Home Depot, PROS Revenue Management, The Walt Disney Company, AARP, Facebook, Verizon, and BNSF. Would you like to serve on this panel to help the next generation of analytics professionals?

    Important info for prospective volunteers:

    • When: It's a breakfast panel, so it is early – Monday, 4/15, from 7am – 8am. We'll have coffee!
    • Panelists: Four or five selected conference attendees based on their variety of experiences in industry.
    • Audience: This is an invitation-only event for the attendees, typically 30-50 that are likely early in their careers or are looking for a new role. We will serve them a continental breakfast and the panel will talk about what it is like to have a career in analytics, give advice on how to find a role at a company, and answer questions.
    • Preparation: Virtually none since we're going to be asking questions that are based on your experiences and opinions. If you'd like to create some slides, we should be able to show them, but they are not necessary.

If you're interested in volunteering, please send an email to whearnes@cardlytics.com with the following:

    • name
    • email address
    • phone number
    • brief bio
so that we can select a panel with a wide variety of experiences and perspectives for the audience.

We're looking forward to hearing from you and seeing everyone in Austin!
