COVID-19 continues to rage the world with new variations. Pharmaceutical companies and governments need to work together to synchronize their supply of the vaccines. However, the high uncertainty in demand may lead to an inherent conflict of interest where the governments want to supply aggressively (just-in-case) but the companies want to play conservatively (just-in-time). Combining operations research and data analytics can lead to simple and effective solutions to align commerce with public health.
