    The DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position from applicants with expertise in the business applications of Artificial Intelligence. The rank and the appointment Area within the School will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The appointment will likely begin on July 1, 2020.

    Candidates should have a strong background and demonstrated research interests in the application of AI in business contexts. The ideal candidate would have completed graduate degrees at the Master and PhD levels in both Computer Science and Business or closely related fields (e.g., a Masters in Computer Science and a PhD in Business or vice versa). Recent and relevant work experience in or strong working knowledge of AI and data analytics in a business context with expertise in AI and Big Data computing platforms will be viewed as a definite asset.
    The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a grants-supported program of research leading to publications in high quality journals, teach in our undergraduate and graduate (i.e., MBA, EMBA, PhD) programs, supervise graduate students, develop AI educational programs and actively engage in activities serving the school, university, professional community, and contribute to the school's governance (i.e. serving on committees). We provide generous funding for research and conference travel and a reduced teaching load during the first few years of the appointment.

    The DeGroote School of Business operates at two campuses, the McMaster University main campus in Hamilton, Ontario and a new state-of-the-art facility in nearby Burlington, Ontario, housing the MBA and executive programs. Successful candidates are expected to be active at both locations.
