    We are proud to announce the POMS Applied Research Challenge finalists. These finalists have been selected by the academic panel. The winner will be selected by the practitioner judge panel at the POMS Annual Meeting in Minneapolis.

     

    In alphabetical order:

     

    1) Data-Driven Sports Ticket Pricing for Multiple Sales Channels with Heterogeneous Customers. Hayri A. Arslan (Queen's University), Robert F. Easley (Notre Dame), Ruxian Wang (Johns Hopkins), Övünç Yılmaz (Notre Dame)

     

    2) Improving Farmers' Income on Online Agri-platforms: Theory and Field Implementation of a Two-stage Auction. Retsef Levi (MIT), Manoj Rajan (Rashtriya e Market Services Private Limited), Somya Singhvi and Yanchong Zheng (MIT)

     

    3) Inconvenience, Liquidity Constraints, and the Adoption of Off-Grid Lighting Solutions. Bhavani Shanker Uppari (Singapore Management University), Serguei Netessine (Wharton), Ioana Popescu (INSEAD), Rowan Clarke (Innovations for Poverty Action)

     

    The final presentations will take place on Friday April 24 at 4pm in the Regency room (check the conference program for any last minute change). The winner will be announced at the President's Reception on Friday at 7pm.
