    Lecturer/Instructor Position – MIS Division, Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma

     

    The Division of Management Information Systems (MIS) (http://www.ou.edu/content/price/mis.html) at the Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma, has an opening for a Lecturer/ Instructor position for the year 2018-19.  A suitable candidate should be willing to teach courses on programming, database, analytics, and other information systems topics, to business students. Preference will be given to candidates with background and interest in teaching healthcare <g class="gr_ gr_20 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="20" data-gr-id="20">technology related</g> courses.  A graduate degree in MIS or related computing fields is a minimum requirement. The typical teaching load for the position is four courses per semester that <g class="gr_ gr_25 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="25" data-gr-id="25">includes</g> undergraduate and graduate level courses.  Graduate level courses are taught once a week in an eight-week module.

     

    The MIS division is home to the Center for MIS Studies, an active <g class="gr_ gr_21 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="21" data-gr-id="21">industry academia</g> partnership (http://www.ou.edu/content/price/mis/cmiss/membership.html). With a new graduate education center in Oklahoma City, Price College is growing its online courses, executive education, health programs and study abroad activities, in which MIS division plays an active role. Hence, there are many opportunities for participation, remuneration and professional growth through these new programs.
