    Full-time Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE)
    The DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS RESEARCH (IEOR) at the University of California, Berkeley welcomes applications for a full-time Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE) specializing in teaching with an expected start date July 1, 2020. This faculty position is unique to the University of California system. It carries full membership in the Academic Senate with rights and responsibilities that are comparable to the standard professorial track, but with a greater emphasis on teaching and educational scholarship. The department offers BA, BS, MS, MEng, and PhD degrees and is at the forefront of research and teaching of operations research and data analytics methods, as well as the advancement of quantitative methodologies to solve problems in the areas of healthcare, logistics, supply chain management, energy, security, finance, and e-commerce. The department has strong ties with other departments in the UC Berkeley College of Engineering and enjoys close relationships with the departments of Statistics, Mathematics, and Economics, as well as with the Haas School of Business. The primary focus of this position is teaching (and potentially developing) core Undergraduate and Master of Engineering courses, particularly in at least one of the areas of optimization, probability/statistics and machine learning.
