UNIVERSITY OF MAIMI – DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TENURED/TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS

The College of Engineering at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida invites applications for two full-time positions - a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level (Health or Energy Analytics) and a tenured position in the Associate or Full Professor level (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) in the Department of Industrial Engineering. These positions are 9-month academic appointments with a possible start date of August 2021 or January 2022. Salary, teaching load, and research support are commensurate with those of other major research institutions.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, or related field. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong background and commitment to high-quality research and excellent teaching. The successful applicants will reside in the Department of Industrial Engineering and have the opportunity of courtesy or joint appointments in departments such as the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Management Science (School of Business).
We welcome applications at the Assistant Professor level from individuals with research interests in the broad domains of Health or Energy Analytics, artificial intelligence, stochastic optimization, big data informatics and cybersecurity, sustainable resilient and smart systems, healthcare systems, and systems optimization. At the Associate/Full Professor level, we seek individuals with interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, tech start-ups, tech transfer, and patents. Responsibilities of these positions include developing and maintaining a strong externally funded research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
