    Colleagues,   

    Please consider submitting a work for the 50th Annual Meeting of SEDSI (Southeastern Decision Science Institute) in the beautiful, historic Charleston, SC on February 12-14, 2020.  The deadline for submissions is November 1, 2019. We joyfully invite the submission of full papers, abstracts, and panel proposals across all functional areas of business and curriculum.  The online system at https://www.sedsi.org/ has Call for Paper and is ready for submissions.  

    The conference has tracks in

    • Analytics, Big Data Applications, Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Statistics and Expert Systems 
    • Healthcare, Public Sector and Not for Profit Management  
    • Hospitality, Recreation and Sports  
    • Information Privacy, Security and System Resilience, Business Ethics and Business Law 
    • Innovative Education, Assessment, Engaged Learning, Curriculum, Teaching and Pedagogy

    Panels of journal editors will share their insights on how to publish your scholarly work. The college / school deans from research and teaching institutions will share their visions for the future higher education in business.   

    We'll hold multiple sessions and events on innovative instruction and engaged learning. These include sessions on

    • Assessment and Learning Improvement 
    • Improved Learning for First Generation / Lower Income Students 
    • Teaching Workshops in each track or major field of business 
    • Instructional Technology, Blockchain Technology, GIS 

    Last, but not the least, our keynote speaker Ms. Rama Akkiraju will share her perspectives for technology in research and business.  Ms. Akkiraju is a Distinguished Engineer, Master Inventor and IBM Academy Member, and a Director at IBM's Watson Division.
