    Academic Director for the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program

    Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business invites applications for the position of Academic Director for the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program. The Academic Director position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track, teaching position with administrative responsibilities. The M.S. in Business Analytics program is envisioned as a one-year graduate program in Business Analytics that is expected to admit its first class in Fall 2021.

    The responsibilities of the Academic Director include:

    • Engaging in short-term and long-term strategic planning to ensure the quality of the academic experience,
    • Overseeing the overall design, development, and planning for the program's curriculum in cooperation with the academic leadership and the Dean,
    • Teaching core and elective courses in the program,
    • Recruiting new and existing faculty to teach in the program,
    • Advising students and engaging with student leadership,
    • Collaborating with administrative and admissions staff, and
    • Collaborating with other Georgetown University Schools in the academic space of Analytics and Data Science so as to advance Analytic and Data Sciences at the University as a whole.

    Candidates must hold a graduate degree (a Ph.D. is preferred) in Business or Data Analytics or a related discipline. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated ability to teach successfully courses in the analytics space with relevant professional experience in the business analytics field.  The appointment can begin as early as January 2020 and the search process will continue until the position is filled.
