    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for an open-rank Professor of Practice position with an August 2019 start date. This is a non-tenure leading position, with a teaching load of three or four courses per semester in supply chain management and/or business analytics, potentially including online MBA and MS courses. This will be an academic year (nine month) appointment. Salary and benefits are competitive and consistent with other Big Ten universities. Professors of Practice are appointed to three-year terms, subject to renewal, with performance reviews conducted annually. We seek outstanding candidates in all areas of supply chain management and business analytics.

    Qualifications

    Applicants must have:

    • a master's degree, along with relevant industrial experience in supply chain management, operations management and/or business analytics;

    OR

    • a doctorate in supply chain management, operations management, business analytics, management information systems, or a related field (such as industrial engineering), or will have completed all of the requirements for the Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to teach college-level courses in supply chain management, operations management or business analytics.

    Experience teaching large lecture sections of undergraduate courses and the ability and desire to teach both online and in-person are preferred.

    About the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics

    The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics consists of 11 tenured and tenure-track faculty, along with one professor of practice and one full-time lecturer. The department is responsible for teaching the College of Business core courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics/Information Analysis. The department offers an undergraduate major in supply chain management, as well as a minor in business analytics. At the graduate level, the department teaches courses in the MBA program, and offers graduate certificates in supply chain management and business analytics, as well as an MS in Business Analytics.
