    Position Summary
    INSEAD and The World Economic Forum seek a Hoffmann Fellow for a two-year joint appointment for work at the interface of society, science and technology. The Hoffmann Fellow will be jointly supervised by Dan Andrei Iancu (Visiting Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD, Associate Profess of Operations and Information Technology at Stanford GSB) and Lisa Sweet (Head of Future of Protein, COVID-Response and Food Health at the World Economic Forum). The fellow is expected to help build and drive intensive collaborations to deliver research and action-oriented recommendations on how to best leverage data analytics, artificial intelligence and technology to accelerate incentives for net-zero, nature-positive, equitable food systems.     Location and Start Date
    The position will be initially virtual, with the opportunity to be co-located between the World Economic Forum Geneva headquarters and INSEAD Campus in Fontainebleau, France, depending on the COVID-19 pandemic evolution and any pending travel restrictions.


    Preferred Qualifications and Experience

    • Advanced degree earned in the last five years - preferably a PhD in operations research, operations management, economics, environmental science or other related fields
    • Strong technical background, with demonstrated expertise in at least some of the following disciplines: econometrics, statistics, machine learning/AI, mathematical optimization, supply chain management
    • Strong experience or demonstrated strong interest in issues at the interface of technology and policy (ideally with a focus on sustainability and food systems)
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with an ability and active willingness to collaborate and jointly shape initiatives
    • Strong communication skills, ability to work in an international and/or multicultural environment
