Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor –Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution

The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenured or tenure track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels with expertise in industrial distribution, inventory management, resilience and/or cybersecurity for supply chains, data analytics, market analysis, customer service, market development for engineered, industrial, energy management, and/or healthcare products.
The successful applicant will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. Through effective industrial advisory committees that provide valuable guidance, the department has numerous opportunities for the development of laboratories and sponsorship of applied research activities. Preference will be given to candidates with recent and relevant hands-on experience with: data analytics, market analysis, customer service, market development for engineered, industrial, energy management, and/or healthcare products. By being an integral part of the College of Engineering, there is excellent interaction with faculty in other engineering programs to support large scale college initiatives, as well as access to graduate students to assist in instructional and applied research activities. The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M is unique among the 14 departments within the College of Engineering, due to its strong focus on applied research and undergraduate education. Currently, the department has 57 tenured and non-tenured faculty members to support academic programs in electronic systems engineering technology, manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology, and industrial distribution with an overall enrollment of over 1,900 undergraduate and 150 graduate students. The faculty also supports approximately $3 million annually in applied research and professional development efforts spanning areas that include embedded systems, communications, advanced manufacturing, intelligent product design and development, industrial distribution, supply chain management, and educational research.
