    The health Application Society (HAS) is pleased to bring to your attention a number of special sessions for the upcoming INFORMS Seattle conference. In addition to the sessions for the Pierskalla Award finalists (SC63 Sunday 1:30-3:00) and Bonder Scholars session (MD62 Monday 4:30-6:00) that are traditions of HAS, take note of these special sessions:

    • Lightning Round: HAS Doctoral Students and Post-docs on the Job Market (SB62 Sunday 11-12:30): A lightning session for HAS Ph.D. students and post-docs on the job market this year. Special thanks to Anahita Khojandi and Hadi El-Amine for chairing it.
    • Panel: Machine Learning for Healthcare (MA62 Monday 8-9:30): A panel session chaired by Mohsen Bayati devoted to the topic of machine learning and predictive analytics.
    • Meet the editors for healthcare research (SD64 Sunday 4:30-6:00): A panel with editors for healthcare departments from eight outlets for healthcare research: MS, OR, MSOM, NRL, Health Care Management Science (HCMS), Service Science, DSJ, and INFORMS Journal On Computing.  
    • Dimitris Bertsimas followed by Martin L. Puterman  (SB65 Sun 11-12:30) HAS Distinguished Speakers – 1
    • Mohsen Bayati followed by Ebru Bish  (SC65 Sun 1:30-3:00) - HAS Distinguished Speakers – 2
    • Wallace Hopp followed by Turgay Ayer  (MC64 Mon 1:30-3:00)- HAS Distinguished Speakers – 3
