    Assistant Professor of Marketing /Associate Professor of Marketing

    The Department of Marketing at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Advanced Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2020. The department seeks candidates capable of teaching at multiple levels (undergraduate, MBA/Masters, Ph.D.) and doing consequential rigorous academic research publishable in leading scholarly journals.

    The candidate should have a strong commitment to innovative and high-quality research and teaching. The candidate should have a doctorate in the field of Marketing or a related area (such as Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, etc.). We prefer candidates with high-quality published research. Concrete evidence of rigorous training, creativity and past accomplishments is necessary.

    We also prefer candidates whose primary areas of research are analytical, empirical, and/or substantive with an emphasis on marketing models, quantitative marketing and/or marketing analytics. Examples of relevant research areas include analytical approaches to resolving important marketing problems, academic applications of marketing analytics, development of analytical models for decision-making or other related purposes, marketing and data science, construction of useful descriptive mathematical models, analysis of unstructured open source data, applications of machine learning techniques (or related tools) to marketing problems, Bayesian modeling with marketing applications, latent class modeling to gain marketing insights, use of econometric methods to address issues in marketing, field/natural marketing experiments, and other related quantitative academic areas. 

    Teaching interests should be commensurate with the substantive areas relevant to the research skills of the candidate and the needs of our department.

    Qualifications

    The position requires a PhD or equivalent in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Candidates must have the interest and capacity to conduct high quality scholarly research and the potential to publish in top-tier marketing journals. We prefer a record of rigorous, published past research record. Candidates must also have potential to be both an effective and diligent teacher. All of our faculty often also engage in various service-related activities.
