    The Quality, Statistics and Reliability (QSR) cluster of Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) announces the Data Challenge Award to recognize excellence in data modeling techniques among the submissions to the QSR Data Challenge. This award program brings prestige to the QSR Section as well as to the recipients honored.

    This year's Data Challenge problem is sponsored by ProcessMiner Inc. and the topic is "Data Augmentation for Rare Events in Multivariate Time Series".

     

    Three to four finalists for the Data Challenge Award will be selected to make presentations at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington. The winner will be announced at the QSR business meeting later at the Annual Meeting. All finalists will receive an award certificate. The winner will also receive a plaque of recognition.

     

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • All finalists must be QSR members.
    • Finalists in the 2019 IISE QCRE Data Challenge are not eligible for this competition.
    • Team submissions are welcome.
    • At least one member of each finalist team must be committed to presenting their work at a special session during the INFORMS Annual Meeting.

     

    Submission deadline is September 1, <g class="gr_ gr_38 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="38" data-gr-id="38">2019</g> and finalists will be announced on September 20, 2019.
