    The Department of Management Control and Information Systems (DCS) is one of the academic units of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universidad de Chile, whose main work is the scientific research in the areas of its competence and the training of high-level professionals for Chile. To this end, all interested parties are invited to apply for the academic call 2020. Applications are to be submitted up to February 28, 2021.

    The current postdoctoral call is for candidates who have graduated with a PhD in the last 3 years or who are about to receive a doctorate and are specialists in the area of Analytics. In particular, applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Operations Research, Engineering Systems, Statistics (or an equivalent discipline), and whose focus can be the use of data analytics, business intelligence and optimization, in order to enhance the Department's scientific research in this area.

    It is expected that most of your time will be spent in scientific research with a professor from the DCS, who will be the academic tutor of the Postdoctoral fellow during his/her stay at DCS. The place to develop the Post-doctorate will be the Department of Management Control and Information Systems (DCS) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Universidad de Chile. The position offered is full-time; it lasts 12 months and starts on April 1, 2021.

    1. Resume (include a simple copy of academic degree)
    2. Letter of Interest for the position (1 page)
    3. Postdoctoral research proposal (5 pages max.)
    4. Two recommendation letters
    5. Identity card (if Chilean) or passport

    The background provided by the applicants will be evaluated by a departmental commission composed by the DCS Director and some academics of the Department. Applicants will be notified of the results by email on March, 12. Scientific publications that the applicant may have prior to obtaining his/her doctorate will be positively evaluated.
    The evaluation committee reserves the right to declare the call for the application void if no suitable candidate can be found for the Department's Academic project.
