Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position at Clemson University

(Apologies for cross posting). The Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University is inviting applications for a Postdoctotal Research Fellow position in energy systems optimization. The successful candidate will conduct research on a project titled "Integrated Process Optimization for Biochemical Conversion" supervised by Dr. Sandra Eksioglu. The goal of the project is to develop analytical tools to enable a biorefinery identify an optimal integrated process design that ensures a reliable, cost effective, sustainable, robust and continuous feeding of biomass feedstocks
This project is conducted in collaboration with the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). Thus, the successful candidate is expected to spend up to 6 months at INL working closely with Dr. Mohammad Roni.
Required qualifications. Applicants must hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field; have research experience in optimization, stochastic and statistical models; be proficient in programming (e.g., using C++, Python). Excellent writing and communication skills are also required.
Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 plus benefits
Expected start date: May 1, 2019
Term: One-year term with a possible renewal
FTE: 100%
