    EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in Operations Research and Mathematics of Decision-Making at the tenure track level (Assistant Professor). In exceptional cases, appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level may be considered.

    Candidates must have a PhD in operations research or a related area.The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate, master and PhD courses, develop a strong independent research program at the cutting edge of his/her field in a multidisciplinary environment, supervise graduate students, engage with researchers in related areas across EPFL, and be involved in service to the university and profession.

    EPFL embraces fundamental and interdisciplinary research. Specific methodological areas of interest include (but are not limited to)transportation and logistics, discrete optimization and submodularity, continuous optimization, robust optimization, algorithmic game theory, complex systems, control of autonomous systems, optimization of energy systems, healthcare analytics and simulation.
