Interface of Finance, Operations, and Risk Management (iFORM) SIG 2018 Conference
The Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas
July 1, 2018

The interface of Finance, Operations, and Risk Management (iFORM) Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management society will hold its annual conference on Monday, July 1, 2018 at the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. As in prior years, the SIG Conference will precede the MSOM 2018 Conference.

On behalf of the iFORM SIG, the organizing committee invites you to submit your paper to this conference. All topics falling within the broadly construed iFORM domain are welcome. In addition, this year, we invite presentations on the teaching of iFORM in the MBA classroom. Authors may submit their innovative pedagogical materials (e.g., cases, module notes, simulations, book chapters, etc.) as a pdf file similar to a paper submission. Each such submission should include: (i) a detailed description of teaching objectives, (ii) lessons from past teaching experience, (iii) evidence of success in the classroom such as course enrollment, extent of usage, and anecdotal student feedback.

Submission instructions:

1. To be considered, please e-mail your paper or pedagogical material to msomiformsig2018@gmail.com
2. All submissions of research papers and pedagogical material will undergo a double-blind review process by an expert panel. To facilitate this process:
• the text of the email should clearly list the names and contact information of all the authors. If a paper has multiple authors, one of them must be designated as the presenter;
• the paper should be compliant with M&SOM formatting standards (please see http://pubsonline.informs.org/page/msom/submission-guidelines);
• the PDF file containing the paper should be named as <paper title.pdf> (e.g., "dynamic investment policies for a manufacturer.pdf"), and the authors' names should not be listed in the file.

Coordination with MSOM Conference:

The same paper may not be presented at both the MSOM and the iFORM SIG conference, but a submission may be considered for both venues. To that end, the authors should make a single submission to the SIG conference, and indicate in the email that they would also like to be considered for the MSOM conference (if the paper is not be accepted by the SIG conference). The same paper may not be submitted to more than one SIG conference.
