    2020 INFORMS TIMES Best Working Paper Award Competition
     
     
    The Technology, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Section (TIMES) of INFORMS invites submissions for its 2020 INFORMS TIMES Best Working Paper Award Competition. The goal of this competition is to promote the most recent advances in the area of technology management, product/process innovation, business model innovation, new product development, and entrepreneurship.
     
    All research methodologies, including (but not limited to) analytical modeling, secondary data analysis, and behavioral experiments are welcome.
     
    The award winners will receive a monetary award and be presented with a plaque at the TIMES business meeting, which will take place at the INFORMS annual meeting in National Harbor, Maryland, Nov. 8-11, 2020. The following cash prizes will be offered to the award winners:
     
    • First Prize:                $800
    • Second Prize:          $500
     
    Each submission will be judged by a panel of domain experts, based on the novelty and innovativeness of the paper's contribution and its potential impact on the theory and practice of technology management, innovation management and entrepreneurship. The 2020 award competition is organized by Evgeny Kagan (Working paper award committee chair, Johns Hopkins University) and Pascale Crama (TIMES section chair, Singapore Management University).
     
    Eligibility Criteria:
     
    • A submission must be broadly related to the subject of technology management, product/process innovation, business model innovation, new product development or entrepreneurship.
    • As of the date of submission the paper must not be accepted for publication and must not have won a prize in a previous TIMES Best Working Paper Award competition.
    • The format of the submission must follow closely the manuscript preparation guidelines of M&SOM journal as detailed at https://pubsonline.informs.org/page/msom/submission-guidelines.
    • The submitting author must be a member of the INFORMS TIMES section. If unsure how to join, please see http://connect.informs.org/times/home. An author can serve as the submitting author for only one working paper.
    • All finalists must present in the dedicated award session at the 2020 INFORMS Annual meeting in the Technology, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship cluster.

    After entering author information using the link above, you will be asked to upload:

    1. A cover page in PDF format with author identifying information including (a) the title of the working paper, (b) the names of all authors, their email addresses and affiliations, and (c) a statement that the submitted paper has not been accepted for publication in an academic journal.
    2. A blinded PDF copy of the working paper with all Appendices, Tables, Figures, etc. closely adhering to the manuscript preparation guidelines of M&SOM journal.
