Tenured Endowed Chair Faculty Position in the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics

The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics within the College of Business at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for a tenured endowed chair appointment. The successful candidate will hold the Cynthia Hardin Milligan Chair of Business. We seek outstanding candidates in all areas of business analytics, supply chain management, operations management and management information systems. We will consider candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level, and we are particularly interested in individuals who are strong organizational citizens and interested in being active members of a rich academic community.
This position will have an August 2020 start date and will be an academic year (nine month) appointment. Salary, benefits, and research support are competitive and consistent with other Colleges of Business within the Big Ten. The awarding of tenure within the College of Business requires publications in top-tier refereed journals.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctorate in a supply chain management, operations management, business analytics, operations research, industrial engineering or a related field (such as econometrics, statistics or computer science). Applicants must possess an established record of publications in top-tier refereed journals and a research record commensurate with the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants must also possess a demonstrated ability to teach college-level courses in business analytics, supply chain management or operations management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching courses at the MBA, MS or equivalent level, and experience teaching in an online and/or blended environment, are preferred. Relevant work experience in supply chain management or business analytics is also preferred.
About the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics
The Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics consists of 12 tenured and tenure-track faculty, along with one professor of practice and one full-time lecturer. The department is responsible for teaching the College of Business core courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics/Information Analysis. The department offers an undergraduate major in supply chain management, as well as a minor in business analytics. At the graduate level, the department teaches courses in the MBA program, and offers certificates in supply chain management and business analytics, as well as an MS in Business Analytics.
