    Dear colleagues,

    The School of Management at the University of Bath is seeking to make an appointment at Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Information, Decisions and Operations (IDO) Division

    Applications are welcome from scholars with research interests in any IDO-related theme but for this post we have a specific preference for scholars with advanced analytics, operational research, data science, or machine learning expertise, with a core focus on applying inter-disciplinary insights to tackle significant, real-world, business and social challenges.

    IDO is also home to research centres focused on cyber security (CREST), supply chain management (HPC Supply Chain Innovation Lab), healthcare innovation (CHI2), warehousing and logistics (Centre for Smart Warehousing and Logistics Systems) and EPSRC and ESRC funded projects ranging from human aspects of cybersecurity to complex project management.

    You are encouraged to make informal enquiries regarding the posts to Professor Alistair Brandon-Jones, Head of the IDO Division (abj20@bath.ac.uk), Professor Christos Vasilakis, Subject Group Lead (cv280@bath.ac.uk), or Dr Melih Celik, Subject Group Lead (mc2498@bath.ac.uk), however, please submit your application via the University website.

    Applications are open until December 19, and must include:

    1. An academic CV;
    2. Research statement – this should describe your current and future research aspirations, your publication strategy, and links to impact;
    3. Teaching statement – this should describe your approach to teaching, your teaching experience, and a sample of student scores/feedback.
    Kind regards,

    Melih Celik, PhD
