    Call for Papers
MSOM Service Management SIG 2021 (Online) Conference
Kelley School of Business, Indiana University
    June 5-6, 2021

The Service Management Special Interest Group (Service Management SIG) of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM) will hold its annual conference online on June 5-6, 2021, preceding the MSOM 2021 conference (June 7-10).

On behalf of the Service Management SIG, we would like to invite you to submit papers to this conference. Acceptance decisions will be based on full paper submissions. Presentations of the accepted papers will be scheduled in a single track with discussants.

High quality papers in the full range of topics concerned with the management of service operations in all industries will be considered.  We are looking for the best papers to be discussed in the meeting – the papers can be analytical or empirical, methodologically oriented or applied.

Notification of Acceptance:                    April 19, 2021

    Submission Guidelines and Review Process

    Submission: https://msom2021.indiana.edu/sig-submission/index.html

    • Attach the paper file in pdf format: The file should include the paper's title, abstract, main body, references, figures, tables, and appendices. The entire paper (excluding appendices) must not exceed 32 pages (double spaced, at most 33 lines per page). Appendices can be included in the same file beyond this page limit. The paper should comply with the MSOM formatting standards: www.informs.org/Pubs/MSOM/Submission-Guidelines
    • The papers will undergo a double-blind review process by an expert panel. To support this process, author names should not appear anywhere in the paper file.
    • The submitting author should be the presenter and will be considered "primary author" in the system. Once your paper is accepted, you will upload a non-blinded paper with author names in the order they should appear.

Coordination with the general MSOM Conference

    • Although the same work may not be presented in both the MSOM Conference and a SIG Conference, authors may have their submission considered by both. To do so, the authors should only make a single submission to the SIG Conference and indicate in the submission that they would also like to be considered for the MSOM conference in case the paper is not accepted by the SIG Conference (which has higher priority).
    • If the paper is accepted for the main conference and not the SIG, you will be notified and asked to submit a 3-page extended abstract conforming to the guidelines for abstract submission for MSOM Conference.
    • Each attendee is limited to a maximum of one submission to the MSOM conference, one submission at each SIG Meeting, and two presentations during the entire conference period.
