Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University invites applications for one tenure track/tenured position in the field of intelligent supply chains at the rank of assistant professor or higher. The selected candidate will be required to work with the University to prepare and apply for a SCALE-AI Research Chair program. The Chair's goal is to expand our understanding of AI and its applications in the field of supply chain management and be a part of an ecosystem that positions Canada among the world leaders in the field of AI applied to supply chains. The five-year research chair comes with an attractive funding package evaluated at approximately $2M. We are seeking qualified applicants in the fields of AI, machine/deep learning, data science/analytics, and operations research who are interested in using such techniques to solve real-world problems in any area related to supply chain management (broadly defined), including, but not limited to: inventory management, supply chain competition and collaboration, global network and logistics, forecasting, revenue management, pricing, supply chain integration, supply chain security and risk management, sustainable, inclusive and equitable supply chains, smart infrastructure, auditing and performance tracking, and blockchains. The start date will be July 1, 2021. We will only consider applicants who already have a PhD degree and have demonstrated research and teaching excellence in their careers. The position also requires an ability to work in collaborative multidisciplinary settings. Although the candidate will be a part of the Operations Management (OM) group, we welcome applicants from various disciplines within Management and related disciplines, including statistics, economics, engineering, and computer/information science. However, the candidate's research should have significant supply chain management and AI components. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
