    Dear Colleagues (apologies for cross-posting),

We invite submissions for the 32nd Annual Workshop on Information Systems and Economics (http://www.wiseconf.org) to be hosted in Austin, Texas December 16-17 on the campus of University of Texas, Austin.

The theme of WISE 2021 is Economics of Information Systems in the Algorithmic Era. Every aspect of life is now guided by artificial intelligence. In parallel, many people now trust platforms and algorithms more than their own governments and civic society. Given the ubiquity and sheer preponderance of algorithmic decision making that permeates every aspect of our lives, we need a better understanding of the role of equity and bias-sensitive design of information systems. While there is considerable inquiry into the role bias engendered by algorithms, this workshop actively seeks to promote research that not only illuminates the sources of algorithmic discrimination, but also organization design and incentive systems can overcome the sources of such biases.

Presentations at WISE address important business and societal questions with a focus on information systems. WISE welcomes new research related to the broad area of information systems, including novel applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence, that are supported by economic theories and methods.

    Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (maximum of six (6) pages, including text, references, figures and tables) of their work for presentation at the conference. Submissions should be made in PDF format. Please submit abstracts online at the EasyChair submission portal: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wise20210 portal and be sure to indicate whether submitted work was student-led (to be considered for the best student paper award).

Submission Restrictions: Authors can have only one presenting role in the program.  No individual shall have more than two papers as a co-author in the program.  We request that you work with your co-authors and submit your best work

To minimize repeated exposure of the same paper, we also ask that authors not submit work that has also been submitted for consideration at WITS 2021. Given the 'workshop' nature of this event, we also ask that you not submit work (conditionally) accepted or forthcoming at a journal.
