Business today is nowhere without technology. At the University of Twente, we research on the cutting edge of high-tech and industrial entrepreneurship. From cybersecurity in the financial world to the use of artificial intelligence in logistics management: in virtually every area in which tech meets business, we conduct groundbreaking research. As an assistant professor, you can contribute!

Are you a researcher eager to broaden your research perspective? Are you excited about exchanging knowledge with colleagues from different fields of expertise, and merging shared knowledge into new outcomes? Do you want to teach, supervise, and guide students on their way to becoming next-gen researchers and industry leaders? Then our vacancy for an Assistant/Associate Professor within our High-tech Business and Entrepreneurship (HBE) department may be the perfect opening for you.

We are looking for talents with a background relating to preferably multiple of the following (inter-) disciplinary fields: Operations Research, Management Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Healthcare Logistics, Purchasing and Supply Management, Entrepreneurship, Technology and/or Innovation management, Change Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Business Information Systems. Furthermore, we expect candidates to have affinity with the high-tech business domain, make use of advanced business analytics (operations research, AI, machine learning, reinforcement learning, big data, etc.), conduct (fundamental and applied) research within a multidisciplinary environment, have proven teaching experience (both lecturing and tutoring), and possess good communication skills.

We realize that the defined candidate profile is broad and that it is not realistic that you have affinity with all of the high-tech business domains. We therefore explicitly invite you to apply if you believe you fit even part of the profile.

For more information on these positions, you can contact me (Martijn Mes, m.r.k.mes@utwente.nl) or prof. dr. J. van Hillegersberg (j.vanhillegersberg@utwente.nl). More information on the vacancies can be found on:
