I recently had an absolute pleasure attending an insightful webinar by Dr. Kendra C. Taylor on 'Unleash the Power of Analytics for Good' and hosted by INFORMS, which provided a practical framework to using data meaningfully in any business and position. What a great event!!
Dr. Taylor drew on her own extensive experience in supply chain management, analytics, and driving social change through data-driven solution and spoke about how we can build a personal branding around data capabilities and emerging analytics tools. My key takeaway from this webinar was expanding how we view the problems we can help solve using analytics. This is especially important for me as I aim to transition into fintech and tech spaces. Having worked in product and analytics in the past 5 years, across domains like education and health, I'm committed to staying in the field of product data, while studying users across internet services and fintech spaces. Dr. Taylor's insights reinforced the importance of not just focusing on business outcomes but also contributing to solving societal challenges, aligning perfectly with my career goals.
I am super excited applying these principles in the current market, as these learnings will be crucial as I re-enter the workforce next year.
