The University of Southern California, one of the nation's top research universities, seeks a candidate for a teaching position to teach undergraduate and graduate students in courses offered by the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Viterbi School of Engineering. This is a full time, one year fixed-term, benefits eligible faculty position on the non-tenure track. Competitive candidates will have the training and experience necessary to teach effectively in a highly-ranked department that advances undergraduate students through an accredited BS degree program and graduate students enrolled in MS and PhD programs. While we are interested in candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Industrial and Systems Engineering, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Analytics (Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive), Data Mining, Optimization, Systems Simulation, and computational tools for analytics (Python, R, SAS, SQL).
We invite applications from candidates knowledgeable in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and will focus on a candidate's promise and/or track record during the review process. This is primarily a teaching position; all candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching. The position will require the majority of the time to be spent on teaching and teaching-related duties with reduced obligation for research and university service. An earned doctorate degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field is required.
