    Dear Colleagues,

    I would like to invite you to consider submitting a talk for the virtual AAMAS 2022 Workshop on Autonomous Agents for Social Good (AASG) that I am co-organizing. This workshop will be held virtually on May 9-10th 2022 and aims to highlight the role of multi-agent systems (MAS) in social challenges. The goal of this workshop is to identify new MAS problems in the social domain, develop novel MAS solutions to resolve social challenges, and learn from the real-world deployment of MAS solutions in societies. This workshop welcomes any papers studying social challenges with MAS involved, including both theoretical and applied directions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    1. Public Health and Healthcare
    2. Environmental Sustainability and Environmental Crime
    3. Human Trafficking
    4. Human Rights
    5. Food Security
    6. Ethics, Fairness, and Discrimination
    7. Democracy and Civic Participation
    8. Fake News
    9. Security and Cybersecurity
    10. COVID-19

    We solicit papers in two categories prior to the January 30th submission deadline.

    1. Research papers describing novel contributions in resolving social challenges using multi-agent systems. Both work in progress and recently published work will be considered. Submissions describing recently published work should clearly indicate the earlier venue and provide a link to the published paper. Papers in this category should be at most 8 pages, with any number of additional pages containing bibliographic references only.
    2. Position papers describing open problems or neglected perspectives on the field, proposing ideas for bringing MAS methods into a new application area, or summarizing the focus areas of a group working on MAS for social good. Papers in this category should be at most 4 pages, with any number of additional pages containing bibliographic references only.

    This workshop has no archival proceedings, and the accepted papers are allowed to be submitted to other conference venues and journals. Accepted submissions will have the option of being posted online on the workshop website. For authors who do not wish their papers to be posted online, please mention this in the workshop submission or inform the organizers. Accepted papers will be presented either as a research talk or a poster. The submitted papers will be assessed based on their novelty, technical quality, potential impact, and clarity of writing.

    The workshop also features the involvement of non-government organizations with a panel discussion on their hands-on experience in social challenges. For more information, please refer to the official website. We look forward to your participation!
