    Dear colleagues,

The VIPR-GS (Virtual Prototyping of Ground Systems) Center at Clemson University is seeking to hire a postdoc beginning as early as August 2020 to work on a project funded through Army GVSC on modeling, optimization, validation and verification of autonomy-enabled vehicles. The project is a multidisciplinary approach, with elements focused on optimization, experimental design, virtual trade space analysis, software coordination and verification, Bayesian calibration and validation, and prognostics/diagnostics for models of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles. Programming in Java, C++, Visual Basic and/or Python is preferred, with willingness to learn other languages as needed. Strong experience in multidisciplinary or multi objective optimization preferred.  Familiarity with multiple system modeling simulation packages (ADAMS, FEA, MatLab, SysML, etc.) is beneficial. Experience with formal software verification, Bayesian methods, or systems engineering is a plus. USA Citizenship is nice but not necessarily essential. Term is 2 years (depending on start date) with a possible 3rd year extension.

Interested candidates are welcome to contact with Dr. Cameron J. Turner, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University by Email:   cturne9@clemson.edu
