Dear Undergraduate Students and Faculty Mentors,

I want to use this email to inform you that we are still accepting your submission of the 2019 INFORMS Undergraduate Operations Research Prize Competition. We have extended the deadline to July 15th, 2019, 11:59 pm Eastern Time. Note that the original deadline is July 8th, 2019. Please also note that we are still accepting the reference letter for each application. The deadline for the reference letter is also July 15th, 2019.

Here is the original announcement with an updated submission deadline.

The Undergraduate Operations Research Prize Competition is held each year to honor a student or groups of students who conducted original and significant theoretical and/or applied research in the field of operations research or management science during their undergraduate enrollments. Winner(s) of the competition will share a prize of $500 in addition to receiving travel support to the INFORMS Annual Meeting. All finalists of the competition will be invited to present their research in designated Undergraduate Research Showcase sessions at the INFORMS Annual Meeting. Applications are due by July 15, 2019, 11:59 pm Eastern Time. Ideally, we'd like to select two winners whose research focusing on either the theoretical or the applied side of Operations Research. We will give more appreciation to the work that can integrate the two sides well.
