    To the INFORMS Community:

I wanted to share with you the following update regarding our efforts to communicate about INFORMS members' COVID-19 related expertise to policymakers, the media, and the public, as well as plans to share COVID-19 related information from the federal government with INFORMS members.

First, we are actively collecting and sharing information from members about their work in areas related to COVID-19. To do so, we have created https://www.informs.org/Impact/O.R.-Analytics-for-Policymakers/COVID-19 which aims to be an easy to use page for people to find relevant resources based on health, supply-chain and transportation security. These are the areas that we have heard most about from external sources.

This includes content published in INFORMS journals, magazines, and podcasts, and external media that includes expert views from our members. Please note, this is not intended be a complete curation of this material, but, if you have published relevant research, been quoted in the media, or have published columns or op-eds please share them with me and we will add them.

Likewise, if your COVID-19 related work extends beyond these three subject areas please let me know that as well so that we can consider adding additional areas to our content, or so that we can include you in our outreach to policy leaders and the media.

Second, it goes without saying that things are moving fast and changing daily related to COVID-19. To help share important federal updates with you, our advocacy partner, the Signal Group, will be preparing daily updates from Washington that I will be publishing each evening on Connect. Since this may continue for some time, I have also created a library called "COVID-19 Updates" that will archive each daily update should you need or want easy access to previously published information.

Please note, in tonight's first edition, we have also included a number of media stories and op-eds featuring INFORMS members that have been published over the past several days. Some of these involved work by our team, others did not. If you have recently appeared in the news, but that is not reflected here (or in the event you are featured in upcoming news items) please send me those stories so that we can share them with your colleagues in future COVID-19 updates.

Please feel free to contact me at jeff.cohen@informs.org with any questions or additional material.

Thank you, and I hope everyone remains healthy and safe.

    - Jeff Cohen
