The INFORMS Section on Location Analysis (SOLA) is seeking session chairs to organize invited sessions for the 2021 Annual Meeting, which will be held as a hybrid event Oct. 24-27, 2021. This will provide attendees the opportunity to attend virtually or in-person in Anaheim, California, USA. If you are interested in organizing a session, please contact the SOLA Cluster Chairs Ismail Capar (capar@tamu.edu) and Kayse Lee Maass (k.maass@northeastern.edu) by April 15, 2021. As a session chair, you have until May 1st to confirm the speakers for your session, and until May 15th to have all the abstracts submitted. Please note that INFORMS requires an average of 4.5 speakers per session for each cluster.
The session can be solely under the SOLA cluster or a joint session with other INFORMS chapters and subgroups. There's lots of great overlap with a variety of application areas, including healthcare, transportation, public sector, energy, and more!
When indicating your interest to organize and chair a session, please let us know the session title(s) and the name of any other subgroup you want it to be jointly host by. (Students are particularly encouraged to chair a session - it's a great way to meet other people & start taking a leadership role in a professional society!)
