INFORMS Committee on Teaching and Learning is seeking proposals for its cluster of sessions at the 2020 Annual Meeting in National Harbor, MD on OR/MS/Analytics-related education themes. The mission of INFORMS Committee on Teaching and Learning is to promote discussion and interaction among individuals with interest in the teaching of OR/MS/Analytics. Possible session topics include:
- Analytics curricula in mathematics, engineering, and business programs
- Developing productive mentoring relationships
- Tips for using new analytics software
- Best practices for documenting teaching performance
- New challenges in today's educational environment
- Aligning learning objectives, assessment, and course materials
- Learning analytics and educational data mining
Sessions must have 4-5 talks. If you can't fill your session the possibility of adding contributed talks exists. If you are interested in organizing a session or presenting in this cluster, please contact me at ndesnoye@sju.edu by March 18th with a suggested title and brief description. Proposals for sessions jointly sponsored by other INFORMS communities are also welcome. All speaker information is due by May 1st and abstracts must be submitted by May 15th.
