    The Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods (CIS&QM) of the McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position beginning Fall 2019.     Job Posting Details:

    The Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods (CIS&QM) of the McCoy College of Business Administration at Texas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position beginning Fall 2019 to teach undergraduate and graduate quantitative methods and data analytics courses in addition to performing research that leads to peer reviewed scholarly publications. Faculty will be required to teach courses at the San Marcos campus and Round Rock campus.

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. or be ABD from an internationally accredited institution. Candidates with ABD should successfully defend their dissertation by the date of hire. Candidates from an Internationally Accredited Business School must receive their degree in decision sciences, management science, analytics, quantitative methods or a related quantitative discipline. Ph.D./ABDs from an Internationally Accredited Program in statistics or industrial engineering with a concentration in logistics, operations research, operations management, or decision science are also encouraged to apply. The candidate should have a research agenda in one or more of the following: analytics, applied statistics, or related quantitative fields.

    Appointment at the associate professor rank requires previous academic experience, an established research portfolio, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and service accomplishments. To be eligible for hire at the associate professor rank, candidate must meet the requirements for that rank as established by the department. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on the University and department established standards.

    In addition to the qualifications listed above, we prefer that the candidate has the following:
    • Experience in one or more of the following application areas: analytics, bayesian methods, statistical modeling, and probabilistic data mining.
    • Experience in college-level teaching.
    • Published or the potential to publish in quality scholarly journals.
    • Potential to obtain funded research.
    • Received or will receive degree from an AACSB accredited business school.
    • Experience with teaching online/hybrid courses.
