We’ve heard from many of you that you dislike having to log in to INFORMS Connect, navigate to your community, and create a post. It’s too many steps, and that’s keeping some of you from posting to your groups at all. So we’re happy to tell you that you don’t have to do it this way – it’s now possible to post to your communities just by sending an email.
For example, let’s say you’re a member of the Decision Analysis Society and you’d like to post a question to your fellow members about what resources they would recommend for a course you’re teaching. Just open a new email, copy and paste the direct email address for DAS into the “To” line, write your message, and click Send. That’s it. As long as you are a current member of that community, identifiable by the email address you’re sending from, your message will be posted to the community. Other members will receive it according to their own set notification preferences.
So, how can you find the direct email address of your community? You will have to log in to Connect once for that. It has been posted to the Announcements section on the home page of every subdivision Connect community (and here in the Open Forum.)
As always, please feel free to contact me for help!
