    The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Auburn University seeks an outstanding individual for a tenure-track faculty position in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.   Candidates will be considered at the assistant and associate professor levels. Candidates are sought that enhance strategic areas targeted by the department for growth.  In particular, emphasis will be placed on applicants with a record of research accomplishments in (1) Operations research and/or (2) Advanced Manufacturing.

     

    The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong research program in one of the above areas as well as to establish collaborations with one of the several multidisciplinary team efforts in the college. The ISE department is a member of NIOSH's Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety and boasts significant research expenditures in the areas of modeling and optimization, vehicle electronics packaging, and advanced vehicle manufacturing. In addition to research duties, the successful candidate is expected to conduct teaching and service activities within the department. 

     

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited institution. A commensurate record of successful academic activities, including funded research, teaching and scholarly publications, will be required for applicants at the associate professor level. The intended start date is August 16th, 2015.  The review of applications will begin on December 1st, 2014 but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
