    Position Title: Non-Tenure Track Faculty – Management Information Systems Department

    Position Type: Full-TimeNon-Tenure Track 

    Location: Fox School of Business, Temple University's main campus, Philadelphia, PA 

    Starting Date: July 1, 2025 

    Position Overview: 

    The Temple University Fox School of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in Management Information Systems (MIS). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in MIS, engaging in service to the department, and contributing to curriculum development. 

    We seek an innovative educator with a strong background in MIS who can bring real-world applications into the classroom, incorporate emerging technologies, and support student learning through hands-on, experiential activities.  Key areas of expertise include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics.   

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Teach a range of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in MIS, which may include areas such as:  

      • Artificial Intelligence 

      • Database Management and SQL 

      • Enterprise Systems (ERP, CRM) 

      • Business Analytics & Data Visualization 

      • Cybersecurity & Risk Management 

      • Cloud Architecture 

      • API Development & Coding Languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and Python 

      • Emerging Technologies in Business 

    • Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on coursework that integrates industry trends and practical applications. 

    • Provide high-quality instruction in both face-to-face and online learning environments. 

    • Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic and professional development. 

    • Participate in curriculum development and contribute to program enhancements. 

    • Engage with industry partners to support experiential learning opportunities such as case studies, guest lectures, and projects. 

    • Contribute to departmental service activities, including committee work and assessment efforts. 

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. 

    • Demonstrated teaching experience at the college/university level or significant industry experience with training or mentoring roles. 

    • Strong technical skills in at least one of the following areas: database management, enterprise systems, artificial intelligence, programming (Python, SQL, R, etc.), business analytics, or cybersecurity. 

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • A Ph.D. or DBA in MIS, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. 

    • Experience with course development and delivery. 

    • Industry experience in areas such as data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud computingartificial intelligence, or IT consulting. 

    • Active engagement with industry organizations (e.g., AIS, INFORMS, PMI, ISACA). 

    • Experience designing cloud-based systems and deploying applications that scale in a reliable, secure, and cost-effective manner. 

    • Experience with designing and using widely recognized standards for client/server and mobile application architectures.
