The 2026 INFORMS Annual Meeting will be held in San Francisco, California, USA, from Sunday, November 1, 2026 to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Moscone Center and Marriott Marquis San Francisco.
We warmly invite colleagues to propose sessions for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cluster. We welcome proposals spanning theories, methodologies, and applications of AI in addressing important problems in research and practice. Organizing a session is a valuable way to serve the community, connect researchers and practitioners with shared interests, and foster discussion on emerging and impactful topics.
Session chairs are expected to propose a session theme, recruit speakers, and chair the 75-minute session during the meeting. This year's cluster guidelines are as follows:
-
Session chairs are supposed to organize 4–5 speakers per session ("Regular Session"), or a "Flash Session" with more than 5 speakers when appropriate
-
Each speaker may present only once during the meeting
-
The meeting is fully in person; there is no virtual presentation option
To facilitate scheduling, the important dates are below:
-
April 15, 2026 (Anywhere on Earth): Deadline to submit session proposals
-

The proposal should include:
Please note that this year, there is a limit on the total number of accepted sessions in the AI Cluster. As a result, we plan to prioritize proposals:
(a) that already have a few potential speakers in the session chair's mind
(b) that include a clear session description, with a timely and relevant topic to AI
(c) that are proposed by two co-chairs, which help reduce the risk of insufficient speakers and travel-related issues
(d) whose session chairs have successfully organized previous AI Cluster sessions

Thank you very much for your support and contribution.
