Fundraising & Sponsors

Fundraising

WORMS is looking for sponsors to support the events we plan to offer at the 2023 INFORMS Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, this October (15th-18th). With our forum growing, we have an increasing need to offer relevant and useful events/sessions to our members that attend the conferences. Your sponsorship will enable us to offset the cost to offer our events, including the business meeting, networking reception, and other events, and help us promote our initiatives, such as the WORMS Award for the advancement of women in the field. We offer three tiers of sponsorship; Platinum ($2000 or more), Gold ($1000-$1999), and Silver (under $1000). Our typical sponsorship is about $1000, but of course, any amount is welcome. If you would like to donate, please fill out your information using the following Google Form:

The WORMS Forum benefits the INFORMS community in several ways, including:

  • The WORMS Family Care Award to offset family care costs incurred while attending the Annual Meeting.
  • The WORMS Travel Awards to support students attending the Combined Colloquia at the Annual Meeting and the Professional Colloquium at the Analytics Meeting.
  • The Award for the Advancement of Women in OR/MS, which celebrates and recognizes a person who has contributed significantly to the advancement and recognition of women in the field of Operations Research and the Management Sciences (OR/MS).
  • The WORMS business meeting, luncheon, and networking reception at the Annual Meeting, which are great networking and celebratory events for women in OR/MS and other supporters of diversity in the profession.
  • The WORMS sessions and panel discussions at the Annual Meeting.
  • The WORMS Mentorship network connects WORMS members at all stages of their careers.
