    Two Tenure-Track Positions in Operations and Logistics Management

     

    HEC Montréal is Canada's first business school and is recognized as a world leader in business education. The school offers a wide variety of business programs at the undergraduate and at the graduate levels. It has over 12,000 students (one third of which are international students) and 260 professors. HEC Montréal professors maintain high standards of excellence both in teaching and in their research. The main language of instruction at HEC Montréal is French; however, there are also programs and courses offered in English and in Spanish.

     

    HEC Montréal invites applications for two tenure or tenure-track positions (open rank) in its Department of Logistics and Operations Management beginning June 1, 2018:

    • A position open to all subfields in Operations and Logistics Management.
    • A position associated to IVADO, the Institute for Data Valorization (http://ivado.ca/en/). For this position, we are looking for a candidate doing research at the intersection of optimization, data sciences and machine learning, with applications in the field of Operations and Logistics Management. The candidate is expected to work on data-driven predictive and prescriptive analytical models and to collaborate on scientific and industrial projects within IVADO. Substantial initial funding is available.

    • Requirements
    • Candidates must either have a Ph.D., or be near completion of a Ph.D., in operations management or in a relevant discipline. Teaching excellence is required, as well as a strong aptitude for research and publications. All candidates are required to teach in French after two years, and will be expected to teach in the department's undergraduate and graduate programs.
