    SIXTH ANNUAL MINORITY ISSUES FORUM (MIF) STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION
    CALL FOR POSTERS

    The INFORMS MIF is pleased to announce a call for posters to be presented during the
    MIF reception at the INFORMS 2017 conference.

    The competition is open to students who are MIF members.

    First place winner will receive an honorarium of $250 and a certificate. Honorable Mentions will each receive a certificate.

    Important Dates:
    1. August 7, 2017: Abstract due;
    2. August 28th, 2017: Abstract acceptance notification and further information will be made available;
    3. October 22, 2017: Poster session and judging.

    Details:
    1. Abstract should be 500 characters maximum (approximately 50 words), title of abstract - 100 characters maximum. This may be an original abstract or the same abstract as submitted for the INFORMS General or Focused Interactive sessions.
    2. Eligibility requirements: Submissions may be made by student INFORMS members, the student must be the lead author and a MIF member, and the submitted poster must not have won any award at any previous INFORMS competitions.
    3. In the event that capacity is reached, poster presenters may be limited to one submission.
    4. To Enter: Please email a document with the following information to ntaimo@tamu.edu: The entrant and all co-authors' names, current affiliations, email addresses and phone numbers; Poster title and Abstract; A statement that all eligibility requirements have been met.
    5. A limited number of travel scholarships to the INFORMS conference will be available for participants of the MIF poster session. Eligibility for travel grants is restricted to US Citizens from underrepresented groups. Please contact Dr. Illya Hicks (ivhicks@rice.edu) directly for more information on this.
